This elementary unit by Rhode Island elementary educators Martha Baton, Stephanie McKiernan and Jolene Polidoro integrates the study of simple machines across the curriculum. The unit is thoughtfully designed with expected outcomes, identified benchmarks, activities in context and lots of local links with explanations and activities for students.

McREL, located in Aurora, Colorado, is a private, nonprofit organization whose purpose is to improve education through applied research and development. McREL provides products and services, primarily for K-12 educators, to promote the best instructional practices in the classroom. Established in 1966, McREL maintains a staff of some 100 employees.

Sounds of the Worlds Animals Sounds like the animals do and kids can imitate the sounds they hear.
