Instructions

Go to the Famous Birthdays website. Review all the dates of the month and the names.
Select a famous person and inform your teacher.
If approved then proceed to the next step, otherwise select another name.
Go to the web links for the person on the Famous Birthdays website.
Make notes and record the website for references.
Go to the websites below for addition information on the person you selected.
Make additional notes and record the websites for references. Organize your notes, you may code them by ID
Write up your project using a Word Processor and save the file with the name of the person and month

Save In your own folder on the school network "Transit J-Drive"
The Famous Birthday Report includes information on the following:

Names of Famous Person Selected	Code ID
Birthplace - City, Country,	BP
Vital Stats DOB (Date of birth), current age this month of the report, if dead - place, date and cause of death	VS
Family background, Mother, Father, Culture, Languages	FB
Education level, schools and Universities attended	ED
Career - awards, achievements, personal records, recognition events	CA
Trivia and interesting special stuff that makes this person famous	TRV
Why you chose this person?	Why
What important or new things did you learn?	What

Check List

First Class: Select a famous person for the month. Check that there is enough information to do a full page report using the above guide. Get teacher approval and begin note taking from these Web Based resources.

Second Class: Complete note taking, organize the notes using a code, start a first draft in a Word Processor.

Third Class: Complete the first draft (double space), print out and do a "5 step edit" using the check list.

Last Class: Make changes and complete the final copy today and print out (single space).
