Patrols and Safety
Adult crossing guards and/or student patrols are on duty at the following times:
Morning: 8:40 - 8:55 a.m. and 12:00 - 12:10 p.m.
Afternoon: 12:40 - 12:55 p.m. and 3:30 - 3:50 p.m.
It is most important that children who cross busy streets to get to school do so at specified corners where patrols are on duty.
School Parking Lot
The parking lot is a very dangerous place for children and is off limits to all of our students so please use the street to drop off and pick up. Thank you for your cooperation.
Children are expected to attend school regularly. If students are going to miss school for a number of days due to illness, travel or other reasons, please notify the school. Parents are requested to ensure that work sent home is done unless the child is too ill to do the work. Children benefit when the home and school work together to make up for any time lost through absence from school. We would appreciate being notified well in advance when children are expected to be away. The school attempts to assist in providing some extra work for students where feasible. However, we rely on parents to assist in helping children catch up in their work when they return to school. On occasion, children who are absent from school for longer periods of time may have difficulty completing their grade level successfully.
