Technology On May 3, 2004, the Board of Trustees approved a one year extension to the current agreement with Manitoba Telecom Services to provide all wide area network equipment and services for the period of July 1, 2004 to June 30, 2005. Included in the agreement, Manitoba Telecom Services offers reduced rates for Internet access to all employees of the Winnipeg School Division effective August 1, 2000. Individuals who wish to obtain more information may visit the MTS web site or may contact MTS Business Internet Customer Service group during regular business hours (M - F, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) at: 988-0219 (in Winnipeg) or 1-877-249-4638 (outside Winnipeg). The Affinity Order Form may also be completed and faxed to MTS. To print the MTS Internet Services Order Form: a) Option 1 - High Speed ADSL Internet Services This option includes free installation and a reduced monthly charge per month. A network interface card is provided at no cost. This service provides high speed Internet access utilizing ADSL (Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line). b) Option 2 - Standard Internet Services (Dial-up) This option is available at an annual per user fee and an hourly usage charge. There are no service charges to establish this service which utilizes the standard residential telephone line. The speed of access is dependent upon the type of modem currently installed in your home.
