Child Care Labs

The following are the rules that we expect parents to follow when using the Childcare Lab:
1. Attendance:
• Sign in and out each day in your labs.
2. Lab responsibilities:
• Baby bottles and caps must be labelled at all times.
• When students are scheduled into the lab, they are required to look after every baby, not just their own.
• Interacting with children is expected from all students (reading, playing, talking).
• Students will assist the T.A. in charge of the lab in creating an attractive, learning environment for the children.
• The Mother Goose Program is part of the lab programming and all students are required to participate.
3. Safety
• At no time may a student leave the premises without her baby.
• During fire drills students are responsible to pick up their child in the lab and leave the building as instructed.
4. Snacks
• Each mom is required to bring in a box of cookies/crackers for snacks except for the children in the infant lab. No other food is allowed in the lab.
5. Lockers
• Moms keep a change of baby clothing in their locker for emergency purposes. Label baby’s belongings.
6. Cleanliness
• Always spray change mat before and after diaper change.
• Wash hands often.
• All students are expected to clean-up the lab at the end of each assigned lab.
We request that each mom bring a box of Kleenex to the labs.
